That’s not “one shot” - not even close - and any feeling that would be gleaned from such a style is totally lost because of the design of the standard game loop. Even the “one shot” thing is totally thrown out every death. I don’t buy it - something messed up has happened in the critical reception for this game, has it not? What is there to like so much? I can’t shake the opinion that everything in this game is mediocre, leaning toward low quality, except for the visuals. There has not been one fight where I felt anything like a God - I feel more like I’m playing Skyrim in third person, and any strength that shows up in cutscenes doesn’t seem to be available to me - rather, it’s like any other game. They don’t seem to factor into the gameplay at all. The ideas and potential of the setting seem totally wasted to me. I’m pretty sure there were more interesting fights in the first game in the series, weren’t there? And then the boss-ish enemies repeat as well. The amount of repetitive fights is so large and so constant that a perfect score seems unfathomable to me. I do as much as I can to keep it interesting but there’s no getting around the fact you’re fighting the same 2-3 enemies over and over and over. The design of the linear experience is so basic that it seems almost offensive to invest so much in visuals. The graphics are incredible and there are a lot of cool effects throughout the game, but ultimately I find that frustrating when I run into so many invisible walls. I don’t know how to give it credit in any meaningful areas. I have played quite a ways into the game at this point. Remember to try and keep away from spoilers and if you do have a spoiler to talk about remember to use the spoiler tag and that guy who found it pretty darn excellent. This is a place for everyone.īut I also want it fo be a place for that guy who hated GoW. People who do find the game "perfect" Come on in as well. So lts understand this is a loose and open term. We all believe 10/10 means different things. I pretty much want to hear from everyone who does not find the game "perfect" and I mean is if you had to give the game a score. So first off this is not a bash the game thread.

I was just trying to be extra inviting to people who are probably being attacked on reddit right now. I do want people who find the game 10/10 and perfect to come on in! Lets all chat about GoW. EDIT: I did not word my title how I meant it to sound.
